Our world is surrounded by technology, and the infrastructure required to run that technology is highly complex to set up, configure, and maintain. Render helps developers reduce the burden of infrastructure and focus on building the products they are passionate about.
Render needed a lot of help. The brand was dated and the product was too. Fundamental interactions needed revisiting and feature work needed to be guided. Initially, we focused on building a modern brand that would connect with today's developers. We partnered with Design Business Company and leaned into the idea that we were the building blocks for products. We visualized this by leveraging grids, blocks, and colorful illustrations.
Our brand was met with warm reception from the developer community and continues to evolve today.
After creating a foundation with our brand, we focused on elevating our product. We shipped a new design system, new navigation patterns, and several new capabilities. We also scaled our design team from one designer to five. We built tooling, processes, and culture along the way. The result: a product that has grown over 3x in little over a year.
